Qwick bet, written QwickBet by the brand itself and often searched as “quick bet”, was an Ethiopian sportsbook that launched in November 2021 under the slogan “The Qwickest Way to Win”. For four years it ran a betting site at qwickbet.com, an active Telegram channel and, later, betting through a Telegram bot. Here is what it offered and where it stands now.
Most of what we know comes from the brand’s own Telegram channel, which we read back to its first posts in 2021. The recent picture is less clear: on 1 October 2025 the brand reported deposit and withdrawal problems, and the channel went silent after 6 November 2025. At our last check in October 2026 qwickbet.com showed our checking tool only a Cloudflare security page. We describe Qwick Bet as it operated until late 2025 and treat it as inactive.
What is Qwick Bet?
Qwick Bet Ethiopia was set up as a mobile-first sportsbook for local players. Its Telegram channel was created on 13 October 2021, and the official launch post, “The wait is over – QwickBet is here”, followed on 18 November 2021. Football was the centre of the offer from day one, and the brand posted in both Amharic and English.
Qwick Bet never named an operating company on its official channels. An archived copy of the site from September 2025 reused page metadata from another Ethiopian betting brand, which suggests a shared white-label template rather than in-house software. In August 2025 the brand added betting through a Telegram bot.
Qwick Bet and QwickBirr
Qwick Bet is often mixed up with QwickBirr, a casino and crash-game site. The two are likely the same group: in November and December 2023 the official Qwick Bet channel posted QwickBirr links tagged #Qwickbet. The evidence is medium, though: the brands ran on different platforms, QwickBirr’s own channel never mentions Qwick Bet, and we found no confirmed legal link between them.
What we like
- Generous accumulator promotions in the past (up to 500%)
- Daily jackpot worth up to 1 million birr
- Telegram-bot betting
What could be better
- Website blocked or offline at our last check
- Deposit and withdrawal problems reported in October 2025
- Little activity since November 2025
QwickBet registration and login
The brand’s posts confirm that sign-up used a verification code sent by SMS: in August 2022 Qwick Bet warned players about delays in receiving these codes. The exact form is not documented, but registration on Ethiopian sites of this kind typically followed these steps:
- Enter an Ethiopian mobile number in the +251 format.
- Set a password or PIN for the account.
- Type in the confirmation code received by SMS.
- Confirm that you are 21 or over; the brand’s posts carried a “Bet responsibly 21+” line.
Login, support and the Telegram bot
Login was typically by phone number and password on the website, and from August 2025 also through the official Telegram bot. Support ran through Telegram accounts listed on the channel. In October 2024 the brand warned players to use only its official website and app. Now that it is quiet, any “support” account that asks for SMS codes, passwords or payments should be ignored.
Deposits and withdrawals in birr
At launch in November 2021 Qwick Bet announced HelloCash and Amole as payment methods, and telebirr was promoted from January 2022. Review sites add CBE Birr, Kacha, Awash Birr and bank cards, but we could not confirm any of those.
The brand advertised bets “from 5 birr” in 2025 but never published minimum deposit or withdrawal amounts or payout times. When payments on the website ran into problems on 1 October 2025, it pointed players to the Telegram bot instead. For an overview of the wallets themselves, see our payment methods guide.
Sports betting and odds
Football was the core of the sportsbook, as it is across the Ethiopian market, where the English Premier League and the Ethiopian Premier League draw most of the bets. The brand also ran AFCON 2022 quizzes with giveaways, and accumulators were its signature, backed by boosts and cashback on long tickets.
We found no official confirmation of live betting or cash-out, and we have no record of its odds, so we cannot compare margins. The best-known product was the daily jackpot: in late 2022 the channel invited players to “compete for 1 million birr” on a daily jackpot ticket.
Casino, virtual games, Aviator and keno
From 2024 Qwick Bet had a virtual and instant games section with titles such as Aero and Pilot. Between April and October 2024 the channel regularly promoted Aviator from Spribe and other crash games.
One blog says keno was available too, but the same article confuses Qwick Bet with QwickBirr, and we could not confirm it. A slot casino was not part of the documented offer, which is the clearest difference between the two Qwick brands.
Qwick Bet bonuses and promotions
Qwick Bet ran frequent promotions. All of the following come from its official channel, with the date they were announced. None of them can be claimed today.
- November 2021: a 100% bonus on the first deposit, and an accumulator bonus advertised as “up to 500%”.
- April 2024: “150% cashback” on tickets with total odds above 60 that lost by one or two games.
- February 2025: a PS4 giveaway for players who deposited 500 birr.
- March 2025: new cashback rules advertised as “up to 400%”.
- 2025: a referral offer of 25 birr per invited friend, limited to the first 100 referrals.
Mobile site and app
The website was designed for phones, and an October 2024 post mentions an official app. We found no listing in Google Play or the App Store, and the brand did not explain on its channel where the app could be downloaded. From August 2025 the Telegram bot was a second way to bet. If you come across a “QwickBet APK” on a third-party site today, do not install it.
Is Qwick Bet safe?
Qwick Bet did not publish a licence statement on its official channels, and review sites that claim it held a licence from the national lottery regulator give no number. Since 15 December 2025 no betting operator in Ethiopia has a valid licence from the Ethiopian Lottery Service. Given the deposit problems reported in October 2025 and the lack of activity since November, we would not send money to any site or account presenting itself as Qwick Bet. On the positive side, the brand consistently showed a 21+ message, in line with the legal minimum age for betting in Ethiopia.
Our verdict on Qwick Bet
For four years Qwick Bet was a lively local sportsbook: generous accumulator deals, a million-birr daily jackpot, Aviator and other instant games, and Telegram-bot betting. Its weak points were the lack of a named operator or licence number and, at the end, payment problems. At our check in October 2026 the brand appeared inactive, so our rating describes its track record. For brands that are still being reviewed and ranked, see our list of betting sites in Ethiopia.

Qwick Bet FAQ
Is Quick Bet the same as Qwick Bet?
Yes. “Quick bet” is a common spelling of Qwick Bet (QwickBet), the Ethiopian sportsbook at qwickbet.com. It should not be confused with QwickBirr, a separate casino-focused brand that is probably part of the same group.
Is Qwick Bet Ethiopia still working?
The official channel has been silent since 6 November 2025, after deposit and withdrawal problems in October 2025. At our last check in October 2026 we could not get past a security page on the site, so we treat the brand as inactive.
Is QwickBet licensed in Ethiopia?
No betting operator currently holds an Ethiopian licence: all were revoked on 15 December 2025. Our guide to betting in Ethiopia explains the background.
Which payment methods did Qwick Bet use?
HelloCash and Amole from the launch in November 2021, and telebirr from January 2022. Other methods appear only on review sites.
