Habtam Bet Review

Habtam bet was an Ethiopian online gaming brand built around virtual games and crash titles rather than a classic sportsbook. Its official platform, habtam.bet, ran from at least April 2024 until October 2025, and its archived homepage lists Aviator, JetX, Plinko, Mines and keno. A separate landing page at habtambet.com promoted it as a leading Ethiopian virtual gaming platform. This review is based on archived copies of those two official pages.

A search for the brand mostly turns up clones: sites with similar names that publish sports counts, bonus amounts, licence claims and app downloads found on no official page. We flag every point we could not confirm. At our last check in October 2026 both official domains were parked and offered for sale, so we treat the brand as inactive and describe how it worked while it was running.

What is Habtam Bet?

The earliest archived copy of habtam.bet is from April 2024, and the platform was still working in October 2025. Copies from April and May 2026 show only redirects, and by October 2026 the domain displayed a parking page saying it may be for sale. The 2024 landing page at habtambet.com, titled “Top betting in Ethiopia – Habtam Bet”, linked players through to habtam.bet and has since been turned into a “premium domain for sale” page as well.

Some review sites say the brand has been running since 2021, but we found no evidence for that year. No operating company is named on the archived official pages. The platform used its own API server and a Cloudflare security check on its pages, but beyond that the brand told players very little about who was behind it. The official pages were in English.

What set it apart was its focus. While most Ethiopian brands combined a sportsbook with a casino, Habtam Bet described itself as a virtual gaming platform built on fast, short-round games.

Habtam Bet registration and login

The 2024 landing page advertised a registration bonus, so sign-up was open to new players, but we found no archived copy of the form. On Ethiopian gaming sites of this kind, registration typically worked as follows:

1. Enter an Ethiopian mobile number in the +251 format.
2. Choose a password or PIN.
3. Confirm the number with a code sent by SMS.
4. Confirm that you are at least 21, the legal minimum age for betting in Ethiopia.

Habtam Bet login today

Login was typically by phone number and password. With the platform closed, there is no working login page. Any site that now asks for your old account details or offers to “restore” a balance is not the brand, so do not enter a password or SMS code there.

Deposits and withdrawals in birr

The official landing page said only that the platform accepted “various payment methods”, without naming them. Third-party sites say deposits and withdrawals ran through telebirr and CBE Birr, which would be typical for a local brand, but we could not confirm this from an official source.

Minimum deposit figures quoted online range from 20 to 100 ETB and contradict each other, so we do not repeat any of them. We found no information on withdrawal limits or payout times. Sports betting and odds

We found no sportsbook on the archived official pages, which describe Habtam Bet as a virtual gaming platform. Claims that the brand covered football leagues such as the English Premier League or the Ethiopian Premier League, with live betting, come only from third-party sites, and none of them is backed by an official page. We therefore do not rate the brand on sports betting or odds: for football, it was the wrong place even when it was online.

Casino, virtual games, Aviator and keno

This was the whole point of the brand. Virtual games were the core product, and the archived October 2025 homepage lists Aviator, JetX, Plinko and Mines, together with keno. These are short-round games: a round of a crash game such as Aviator can be over in seconds, which is exactly why such games are popular and why they are easy to overplay.

The Ethiopian news site Shega reported in November 2025 that keno and Aviator were driving a boom in virtual betting among young people. How keno itself works, and what to check before playing it anywhere, is covered in our keno guide.

We found no evidence of a traditional slot casino or live dealer games on the official pages.

Habtam Bet bonuses and promotions

In July 2024 the landing page advertised a registration bonus and a first-deposit bonus, without stating amounts. Archived links with referral codes suggest that the brand also ran a referral programme. The figure “100% up to 5,000 ETB”, repeated on several clone sites, does not appear on any official page we could find, and we could not confirm it. As the platform is closed, no bonus can be claimed today.

Mobile site and app

We found no official app. The platform ran in the browser, on phones as well as computers. Several third-party sites advertise an APK under the brand name, but none is an official source, and such files can expose your phone and mobile-money accounts to malware.

Is Habtam Bet safe?

The archived official pages contain no licence statement. Review sites claim a licence from the national lottery regulator but give no number, and since 15 December 2025 no betting operator in Ethiopia has held a valid licence in any case.

With the brand gone, the main risk is impersonation. A Telegram channel using the Habtam Bet name was created in May 2026 and forwards unrelated spam; it is not official. The same applies to the lookalike websites, and any “support” that asks for money in advance should be ignored. Our verdict on Habtam Bet

Habtam Bet was a focused virtual-game platform: Aviator, JetX, Plinko, Mines and keno, with registration and first-deposit bonuses, for roughly a year and a half from April 2024. Its transparency was poor, with no named operator, no published licence and no official payment list, and it left behind a trail of clone sites with invented details. With both official domains for sale at our last check in October 2026, our rating describes the brand’s past rather than anything available now.
