Nana Bet Ethiopia Review

Nana Bet – also written NanaBet or Nanabets – was a football-first betting site aimed at Ethiopian players. If you look up nana bet today, you will find a confusing picture: the original site is offline, its old Telegram channel now posts about something else entirely, and several look-alike websites use the name.

In this Nana Bet review we set out what the brand offered, what we could and could not verify, and what is known about its reported move to a new name. Where a fact rests on a single review site, we say so.

What is Nana Bet?

Nana Bet ran under the domain nanabets.com – the address named in the description of its official support account on Telegram. We found no information about the company behind the brand, its launch year or a verified licence; review sites that called it “fully licensed” gave no licence details. At our last check on 9 October 2026, nanabets.com did not load and showed an error page instead. The former “NanaBet Official” Telegram channel now posts crypto news.

Nana Bet and Betna

One review site reports that the Nana Bet channel announced a return under the name Betna, where existing customers could log in with their old phone number and password. A Telegram channel called Betna does exist and posts promotions in Amharic and Afaan Oromoo, but in its post history we found no explicit mention of Nana Bet. So the switch to Betna is reported, not confirmed, and we treat Betna as a separate brand until the link is clear.

Nana Bet registration and login

Judging by the reported Betna announcement, Nana Bet accounts were tied to a phone number and a password, as at most Ethiopian sportsbooks. We could not open a test account, because the site is no longer online, and we will not describe sign-up steps we have not seen. If you had money on a Nana Bet account, contact the support channel you used before; Ethio Betting is not connected to the brand and cannot recover accounts or balances.

Deposits and withdrawals in birr

None of the sources we checked documents the payment methods Nana Bet accepted, its minimum deposit or how quickly it paid out. Rather than guess, we leave this part open: any list of wallets you see elsewhere for this brand is unverified. Our guide to betting payments in Ethiopia explains how telebirr, CBE Birr and M-Pesa were used at other sites.

Sports betting and odds

Review sites describe Nana Bet as a football site first of all, with the Ethiopian Premier League, the English Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga at the centre of the book, plus live betting. That matches what Ethiopian bettors follow most closely. We could not compare its odds with other bookmakers, because no prices are available any more.

Casino games, bonuses and app

Some affiliate pages claim that Nana Bet also had casino games; we found no confirmation of this. Bonus terms quoted for the old site come from a single review and cannot be checked, so we do not repeat them. The Betna channel advertises deposit bonuses and daily prize draws, but that is a different brand name, and its offers should not be read as a Nana Bet bonus. No official Nana Bet app for Android or iPhone was ever verified.

Is Nana Bet safe?

The main risk today is confusion. Several websites put “Nana Bet” in their domain, and at least one openly calls itself an affiliate. None of them is the original nanabets.com, so do not register, deposit or share your PIN on a site just because it carries the name. Betting is only for adults aged 21 and over; if you feel you are losing control, read our responsible gambling advice.

Our verdict on Nana Bet

Nana Bet was a simple, football-focused sportsbook with support on Telegram, and some Ethiopian bettors still remember it. Under its own name, though, it is no longer operating, and the reported switch to Betna is unconfirmed. We would not open an account anywhere on the strength of the Nana Bet name alone; to compare other brands, see our list of Ethiopian betting sites.
